At Nissens, the working environment policy is very well implemented and well-functioning. This policy is the result of a close co-operation between management and employees. The aim is to ensure both an optimum working environment in the company and an unconditional observance of current laws and regulations.
At the same time, Nissens' energy policy helps ensure a continuous optimisation of the energy consumption, and furthermore we have laid down a set of guidelines for our relation to the surrounding world.
HUMAN RESPONSIBILITY
Internationally accepted human rights are recognised and respected throughout the company's fields of influence. No form of child labour, force, or exploitation is tolerated.
Nissens recognises the workers' right to organise in collective organisations, and constantly co-operates with local shop stewards in order to create the best possible working conditions for the employees.
Nissens accepts no form of mobbing or discrimination among its employees. Nissens is a working place with room for individuality, and in the Danish branches of the company, around 30 different nationalities are represented.
ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY
Nissens is certified according to ISO 16001, which means that energy aspects are taken into consideration when decisions are made. In this way, we achieve efficient energy utilisation. Nissens is an environmentally conscious company - certified according to ISO 14001 and complying with current laws and legislation in these fields. Waste sorting and waste water cleaning are integral parts of Nissens' working processes.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Nissens has signed a Business Partner Agreement with the Danish Red Cross, thus supporting the organisation's efforts wherever humanitarian crises occur. Furthermore, social initiatives in the local community are supported; among these the youth section of Horsens Sailing Club.
ANTI-CORRUPTION
It is Nissens' policy that none of our employees are allowed to accept presents, offerings, or contributions of more than symbolic value. This policy applies to all employees regardless of job position in the corporation.

| • | Every year, one or more areas are chosen in which a thorough energy efficiency evaluation is made, whereupon required profitable energy-saving measures are implemented. |
| • | When new investments are made, emphasis is placed on ensuring the lowest possible energy consumption. |
| • | Energy consumption is continually measured, and Nissens works out periodic key figures which are then used for lowering energy consumption. |
| • | Employees and management go over energy consumption figures in order to clarify ways in which the individual can affect and lower energy consumption while optimising productivity. |
| • | Employees are encouraged to participate in environmental efforts, e.g. by putting forward suggestions which can lower energy consumption. |
| • | Nissens complies with current legislation in the energy area. |
